Registration of Research Institutes/Universities for supply of meteorological data

With reference to the manual “ Instruction for supply of Meteorological data and Periodical Weather Reports of IMD 2009”

1. Research Parties have to make registration with IMD in a prescribed format.

2. Research Parties have to make a payment of Rs.5000/- and the payment is valid for one year.

3. The registration needs to be renewed on payment of Rs.1000/- per annum.

4. All this is a part of common Registration procedure adopted by the India Meteorological Department.

5. The Registration number along with the relevant details be posted on imd-intra Portal for reference by concerned officials.

YYMM/NNN/RI OR EI/AAA/BB

YYMM = YEAR & MONTH

NNN = REGISTRATION NUMBER

RI OR EI = RESEARCH INSTITUTE OR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE

AAA = ABBREVIATION OF THE STATION MAKING THE REGISTRATION

BB = SUB-OFFICE INDICATOR
